Chuck
“You are the only woman to ever overlooked my disability and give me a chance as a man. I love you so very much.”
“Having a disability is not a sin, and it is not your fault. It does not make you any less deserving than anyone else. You deserve everything good in life — and even more. You deserve to be loved, to be happy, and to have the very best life can offer. ❤️”
Disability

24|K-1/2 One Step Closer ❤️
Today, we finally received the news we had been waiting for — our K-1/K-2 case has officially been created, and we now have our case number.
It may only be the first step in a long immigration journey, but to us, it means a lot. It feels like we are finally moving forward again.
This was actually our second attempt at submitting the application.
The first time, we prepared everything carefully and mailed the entire package to USCIS. We waited and waited, but the payment was never processed and we didn’t receive a receipt notice.
Eventually, Chuck received the whole package back. We then discovered that the problem was simply the payment method — the personal check we had used was no longer accepted.
At least we finally knew what had gone wrong.
Chuck quickly completed the correct payment authorization form and sent the whole package again. This time, everything moved much faster. The application fee was processed, and now our case has officially been entered into the system with a case number.
Another little milestone reached. ❤️
Chuck was very happy, and so was my family when they heard the news.
We know there is still a long road ahead — approval, NVC, medical examinations, the visa interview, and many more steps before Jason and I can finally begin our new life in America.
But we don’t need to reach the finish line today.
As long as we are one step closer than we were yesterday, that is enough.
This morning, Chuck said something to me that touched my heart:
“You are the only woman to ever overlook my disability and give me a chance as a man. I love you so very much.”
And I replied:
“Having a disability is not a sin, and it is not your fault. It does not make you any less deserving than anyone else. You deserve everything good in life — and even more. You deserve to be loved, to be happy, and to have the very best life can offer. ❤️”
A disability does not define a person’s worth.
What matters to me is how someone treats you, how they love you, and whether they are willing to stand beside you when life becomes difficult.
Neither of us came into each other’s lives with a perfect story.
Perhaps that is exactly why we understand how precious it is to find someone who sees you, accepts you, and loves you for who you truly are.
Today, our case number may look like nothing more than a string of letters and numbers.
But to us, it represents something much bigger:
We are one step closer to becoming a family and beginning our new life together in America. 🇺🇸❤️
One step at a time.
K-1/K-2 officially filed. Now we wait for the next chapter. ❤️
