今天收到了 Jason 的 Year 10 Mock Exam 成績。

作為媽媽，我開心的不只是看到一個個漂亮的分數，而是看到這一年來他的努力、堅持和成長。

這次模擬考，他取得了 4 科 Grade 9，多個 Grade 8，所有科目的學習態度（Approach to Learning）都獲得 Excellent，全年出席率更達到 100%。這些成績固然令人鼓舞，但我更珍惜的是老師對他學習態度的肯定。

我一直相信，成績可以反映一個階段的努力，但真正決定一個人未來的，是他的品格、責任感，以及願意持續學習的態度。

過去幾年，我們經歷了不少人生上的改變。搬到英國、重新適應新的生活和教育制度，再面對家庭的轉變，每一步都不容易。能夠看到 Jason 一直保持善良、自律和積極，我比任何一張成績表都更加欣慰。

我亦十分感謝 Plantsbrook School 每一位老師的悉心教導和鼓勵，讓 Jason 在知識和品格上都不斷成長。

Year 10 已經完成，接下來就是最後一年 GCSE 的挑戰。希望他保持這份熱愛學習的心，勇敢迎接每一次挑戰，無論將來身在英國、美國，還是世界任何地方，都能成為一個善良、有責任感、願意幫助別人的人。

成績只是人生的一部分。

18|Year 10 Mock Exams | Hard Work Matters More Than Grades

Today, Jason received his Year 10 Mock Exam results.

As a mother, what makes me happiest is not simply seeing high grades, but witnessing the dedication, perseverance, and growth he has shown throughout the year.

In these mock exams, he achieved four Grade 9s, several Grade 8s, earned an Excellent rating for his learning attitude in every subject, and maintained 100% attendance throughout the school year. While these results are encouraging, what means even more to me is the recognition of his commitment to learning.

I have always believed that grades reflect hard work at a particular stage of life, but what truly shapes a person’s future is character, responsibility, and a lifelong willingness to learn.

Over the past few years, our family has experienced many changes. Moving to the UK, adapting to a new education system, and facing major family transitions have not always been easy. Through it all, Jason has remained kind, disciplined, and positive. That makes me prouder than any report card ever could.

I am also deeply grateful to all the teachers at Plantsbrook School for their dedication, encouragement, and support. They have helped Jason grow not only academically but also as a young person.

Year 10 has now come to an end, and Year 11—the final GCSE year—lies ahead. I hope he continues to enjoy learning, embraces every challenge, and wherever life takes him—whether in the UK, the United States, or anywhere else in the world—he will grow into a kind, responsible person who makes a positive difference to others.

Grades are only one part of life.

They reflect hard work, but it is a lifelong attitude toward learning that shapes the future.
